    Default track kinetic

I have been bowling for about 4 months and have lately been averaging a 160 with house balls. I saw the Track Kinetic on sale for $80 and want to get it, but a guy who is coaching me said the ball would be too strong for a beginner and advised me to get a brunswick avalanche. I was just wondering how you all felt about the kinetic for a beginner, because the price looks like a good deal to me.

I might would lean toward the Avalanche which has the powrkoil 18 coverstock, one of he best coverstocks around. plus it has a light bulb core from I think one of the Rhino pro's good combo there. Good for the mediums,If your just starting out the avalanche with the right layout should do you good.

The Kinetic is a little bit stronger, little more skid flip. for a heavier oil.

Would depend on the price of the avalanche. But They should be going for about the same or similar price range.

If you get one or the other make sure come back and let us know which and how it works out for you.

Whoa now the "avalanche slide" is not the same as the "avalanche"!

The "avalanche slide" uses the PowrKoil XD Reactive coverstock (XD=extra distance). It's going to slide a lot farther and not hook as much as the "avalanche". It's more a dry/med.dry lane ball, So there's a big difference between the "Kinetic" and the "avalanche slide"

so not knowing how dry your lanes are or how you bowl. It's hard to say if that's what you need.

If it was me I'd see if they have a "avalanche", but thats me. because I believe I could have more options with it (by adjusting the surface as needed) for use on different conditons. Than the "slide".

I am looking for something that will be good for a first reactive ball, but will also be used on dry lanes later on when I get a stronger ball. where I bowl right now, the lanes are usually more on the dry side. I worked there and the only time I saw them oiled was before leagues came in.
If the avalanche is a better versatile ball I'll go with that. The avalanche slide comes in a color I like more, and since I'm young that was selling me. But performance is what matters in the end.

You might ask the pro-shop operator between the two, which would be best for your house. Because he would be more familiar with the condition there.

If it's dry most of the time the "Slide" might better. But if you bowl on a fresh league shot, I think the "Avalanche" might better, plus you could polish it to tame it down.

I ordered the avalanche pearl. I'll let you know how it works for me after it gets here and i get it drilled drilled. Ive never bowled with fingertip grip, ive been using house balls with no thumb but want to start using real technique. so that may take time to get used to

Go with the Kinetic! its a good piece very versatile and as you improve your game, you will see how great of a piece this is. Without knowing your stats, but knowing the conditions you bowl on just keep it polished.
