    Default 7-10 mania last night

Last night we had 9 of us on the pair. (7) 7-10's last night. Most were all nice pocket hits. 2 were me and 2 were another lefty. Don't think I have ever seen that before.

It seems like, at least in my possibly foggy memory, that before high tech urethane and reactive resin balls big splits like the 7-10 were the result of hitting too much of the head pin. Now they always seem to be on shots that look great until the pins stop falling.

I'd guess, with that many on the same lane...different bowlers...pocket hits....one or both pins is being slightly misplaced.

I haven't seen it that bad...but there are nights where far too many righties are leaving 7-pins...which usually makes me think that 7-pin isn't exactly in the right place.

Might not be the seven that’s off spot. It could be that one or more other pins in the rack are off spot so that nothing hits the 7

Both of mine were on the same lane. I don't remember if the rest were on that same lane too. Would be interesting to find that out.

I'm going to knock on wood and say I haven't seen a one of these since we switched houses. Now the 50+ 10 pins is another story...

I left 2 7-10's one night earlier in the year too. I have probably left more this year than maybe my whole 40 year career

I've left WAY more of them this year than I ever have...which could be the center...but I think when you start hitting the pocket more...you're obviously gonna leave more "pocket" 7-10s...and you're going to notice it more.

It stinks. I've spent the past few weeks drilling the pocket on almost every shot...yet I'll leave a 7-pin, a 10-pin, a 7-10 pin. I wanna get all mad and curse the center...but I know...depp down...there's something with my equipment thats causing it (I think). Its probably that I have too much surface or I'm playing a little too far left or a little too far right...maybe just a board or two miss one way or another...maybe a slight inconsistency in ball speed...

I mean, there's so many ways to screw up a "perfect shot"....it just stinks when your leave is nearly impossible to convert. Granted, I'm currently 62% on 10-pins...so it hurts me almost as much to leave a 10-pin or 7-pin...but thats just me struggling with my line and having trouble getting out of my spare ball clean. I try to look at it optimistically and say, "Well, here's another opportunity to practice shooting a corner-pin...and Lord knows you need all the practice you can get!"
