    My kingdom for some consistency.

155/198/231 = 584. Again, couldn't find my *** with both hands. I'd like to have a talk with the boy who oils the lanes before we start. Longest, slipperiest pattern I have ever played. I'm throwing a Dark Legend, and it wouldn't move. Out of 10 guys, there were only 5 200's thrown. This is a 960 scratch. The only saving grace is the kid bowls in the league, and he tanked it worse than anyone! Average back to 206.
Old guy with power (15.5-16; 325). Current arsenal--Storm Summit, RotoGrip Idol Helios, Storm Phaze III, Storm SureLock (retired), Storm IQ Tour Nano and Motiv Rebel tank (spare/dry). High sanctioned game - 300 (5). High sanctioned series - 856. A.V. 300-s - 8. Longest string - 25.
    2024/2025 YTD highs--High game-288; high series-736

Okay, a little redemption. I'd still like to have a series where one game wasn't a dumpster fire. 210/185/244 = 639. Last game was another coulda/shoulda/woulda. Buried every ball. Average stays 206.

Have I mentioned I hate bowling? 188/158/257 = 603. Do not recall missing the pocket tonight. Just terrible carry the first game, and even worse the second. Last game it finally clicked (XXXXX///XXXX). Still holding 206. Would give my left one for some consistency right about now.

I've been hitting the pocket but leaving pins as well. I don't understand it. I make adjustments but same deal. I walk back shaking my head, look up to see the the other guys shaking their heads.
In my bag: Roto Grip UFO, Roto Grip Hyper Cell Fused and Roto Grip Hustle hyb

There are two problems with judging a shot by whether it hit the pocket. The first is that we're trying to judge the center of a round moving object that's about 60 feet away from our eyes. My observations of where my ball is hitting the pins could easily be an inch off to either side. The second is that there are other factors, like the angle of the ball's path to the pins, at work.

The best way to judge your shot is to observe where the ball exits the pin deck. I'm still working on training myself to do this, and still find myself making adjustments based on what pins got left instead.

A ton of my leaves are 2's, 8's, or a combination thereof. As soon as those start going away, I start seeing the 10 pins. They keep a tight shot at my house, so if I'm hitting my marks, I usually back up or move forward.

If you're leaving the 2 pin on a true pocket hit you shot at a bad rack. If this was happening mostly on one lane I would offer my condolences on getting robbed.

If it's happening every week, evenly distributed on both lanes, you're probably not solidly in the pocket.

Didn't say true pocket. Just said pocket.

Kind of consistent. 181/229/236 = 646. Thought I had a good line in practice, but didn't pan out in the first game. Made a move to 1st arrow at the start of the second game, and that line held like a rock the rest of the night. Not a big fan of riding the gutter, but I seem to do it pretty well. Kind of wished I'd seen that earlier. This may be where I need to sit in this league. Average back to 207.

204/201/230 = 635. As close to consistent as I've been in some time, but that came with 5 opens tonight. Could have been a much better night without all that crap. Average still 207.
