Sept 1-Beaver-Vu.
To facilitate the healing of the bicep tendon tear, the doc put me in a full arm cast Friday. Up until bowling, it hasnt been too hateful, but the cast is harder to bowl with than the splint.
Started out with 3 in a row, finished at 212, but lost to my opponent by 1 (dang handicap!) I think this house will be my "character" house, as the scores didnt get any better-finished at 562 for the night.
I suppose bowling here will help the overall game,
August 27-Poelking Marian Lanes-Dayton (still with a cast)
First night of league in new (to me) house. Again, bowling orphan, placed with a team. Bunch of good guys-had a great time. I was told it was a rough league, if a 300 or 800 isnt shot on any night, its a rough night, 25% average 220+.
Started practice with the Gladiator Pearl, it was ok, but when the lights came on, switched over to the Virtual Gravity. Started with the first 5, finsihed with 254. Second game, started with
Aug 25-Season starts at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek, OH. Its a trio Classic league with some hefty shooters. I was an orphan, since I was coming from another house, and didnt really know anyone. I was placed with a couple guys, and on paper our average is around 600.
Practice was ok, it was interesting since I'm in a cast on the left side. Started out with a 155 (4 splits/1 conversion), then started the 2nd game with 4-finished at 207. Third game-/X/XXXXX- starting to look for 270 finish-but
