I am looking to get a new ball for Med-heavy oil. I am looking at the Hammer Deadly Aim. I just started in a couples league. any suggestion would help me out still learning this game.

I own a Deadly Aim and it is by far my most favorite bowling ball. I use it as the first bowling ball out of my bag and find it best used on fresh oil. I usually transition to the Hammer Black Widow Legend when my line breaks down, but I've been able to use the Deadly Aim without having to transition until the 3rd game. Not to mention the 3 year warranty that you have with the bowling ball. Any other information that you can give us though? Bowling style, conditions of the house you'll be bowling at, ball speed, rev rate, etc? I'm sure there's a perfect bowling ball out there for you, but we can offer better help if you let us know more info.

honestly, i would suggest the new Arson Low Flare Solid. for the price you'll spend considerably less on the arson than a deadly. the arson is symmetrical so since you're just beginning this ball would give you much more room for error than the asymmetrical Deadly aim. love my deadly, but i love my Arson low flare solid way more! it is extremely versatile and can handle any oil wet/dry. i added some polish to my arson and can play all three games without moving my feet very much at all.

how would you compare your Arson to your BadAss?

the arson is allot earlier than the badass, but both are extremely smooth off the break point, the badass carries more energy through the pins (i see allot of pin scatter), with the arson i see an earlier roll but i still see plenty of energy through the pin deck, if you like to throw with speed you'll love the arson it turns left as soon as you let it go! i love it!

how did you drill the Arson? Your Bad ***? I have the bad *** and I love it when there is some oil, however, I want something that is just below the bad *** for the beat up dry stuff.

i drilled my arson pin up and to the right of ring finger. layout number 3 in the Hammer symmetric drill sheet. my badass is drilled pin above the bridge so this gives me way more length than my arson, honestly i have been starting with my arson and finishing with my BA if necessary, i'm not saying my BA is a dry lane ball by any means lol i have a grape vibe for that, but with it later roll i can move right and play 15-10 where i usually play 20-10 with my arson. by the second game i (before i polished my arson) i couldn't get the arson to push to the 10 board and playing the 15-10 buried the 1-2 pocket. i have also taken my BA to 2000 grit dull to help with some skid in the mids and plenty of teeth for the dry

Dammit Shaneshu87, now I want both the BadAss AND the Arson Low Flare Solid! I actually heard they have a new Black Widow coming out soon too. Have you had any experience with the Cold Blood?

After talking to the pro shop I am thinking of getting a Hammer Spike Blue/orange 15lb and a coach to get a good foundation
