Is there a general cleaner I should use that doesn't change the surface?
I'm going to have a Modern Marvel, DV8 Misfit and Brunswick Tzone and maybe a Crossroad eventually.

Yes, clean them after every series/session. Wipe them after every throw too. Clean All by Brunswick is cheap and works well. All manufacturers have a cleaner and they are suppose to work the same. Personal preference is the biggest difference. Storm, Powerhouse & Brunswick (among others) all make good cleaners for all reactive resin balls.

Every bowler should have a microfiber towel and a spray bottle of a approved cleaner in their bag.
USBC BALL CLEANER LIST - ACCEPTABLE/NON-ACCEPTABLE

Cleaning:
1- Wipe your ball off after every shot. This should be part of your pre-shot routine.
2- After you get done bowling a session, you should clean your ball off with a approved cleaner.
These two things do the most to help reduce oil absorption into the cover of the ball.

Yes you should be cleaning your balls after each set. Valentino's Remedy RX is a good cleaner that doesn't change the surface. Until I ran out I used the original Lanemaster's ball cleaner to clean off the belt marks that Remedy didn't remove.

Yes. Read the Bowling Ball Cleaning and Maintenance thread at the top of the bowlingball discussion forum. You probably don't need to do this to the T-Zone.

I've read some reviews that say some cleaners are just like windex.. anyone use windex?

Storm recommends Reacta Clean for maintenance for the Modern Marvel. Is this the kind of cleaner that you use after every night of bowling?

I just mix up my own cleaner I use a 50/50 mixture of
70% or when I can find it 90% isopropyl alcohol and
Simple Green cleaner. It does just as good of a job as
some of the more expensive cleaners on the market.
I have tried several different cleaners and have found
that my mixture is just as good if not better than some
of them and a whole lot cheaper to make. I think when
I mix up a quart bottle of it I have less than $5.00 in it
where a quart of the other stuff will cost anywhere from
$27.00 to $36.00 to buy.

Just want to throw my 2 pennies in here. I personally believe wiping the ball off after everyshot is almost like a security blanket. That its just something that if some people dont do it they believe its going to greatly effect things. Same with cleaning the ball after every session to prolong life. Just from my personal experience, I dont notice a single difference from shot to shot (excluding soaked patterns) to personally worry about wiping it off. Also I have never had a ball die on me in its lifespan before it ends up in the closet and or sold. Like I said its just my opinion and wanted to throw out another thought on the subject.

I've used 90% rubbing alchol, simple green(Green liquid in spray bottle)and TAC. I've found that cleaning ball with simple green 1st,then with tac makes the ball nice and taky which works well for me on THS. To each thy own as I always say or Whatever floats your boat!

I'm a firm believer in the powerhouse adrenaline ball steroid wipes. I use them after ever series of bowling and I can tell you that I can see the oil and dirt on the wipes when I'm done and they leave the ball looking and feeling like it was new.

I can't afford bowling brand cleaners.. especially since I plan on cleaning the gunk off them a lot so I'm going to go with the simple green and isoproply 9x% solution.
Maybe 50/50% for home use, 75alcohol/25green for alley use since it'll dry faster.

So you only use a ball for 100 games? Personally, I can't afford two new balls a week so I take care of my equipment. I bowl mostly sport shots so I do wipe my ball after each shot. As a coach I teach it as part of the pre-shot routine as is the USBC and PBA standard, plus makes for one less change when moving to sport patterns.
