God gave me thumbs, so by golly, I use them! ;) And thank goodness they're opposable.

the first 3 years i bowled i bowled with just 2 fingers and no thumb and good

but when i started putting my thumb in the ball my average went up almost 20 pins and im alot more consistant now until i get bored that is which happens alot anymore

I actually always use three. I find it keeps the ball going straighter upon launching it off your fingertips. It also gives more grip when swinging the ball, and overall I find it works better :)
